How we filled an HR Director vacancy in three months.
We were engaged on a confidential replacement search for a Director of Human Resources for a major US-based multinational service provider. This role was for their Mexican operations and reported to the Vice President of Human Resources based in Brazil.

Our client selected four candidates for confidential Skype interviews. We managed this process by asking candidates to sign a non-disclosure agreement and then shared our client’s identity with them.
Two of these four progressed to the next round of face to face interviews with the General Manager and the VP of HR.
We continued our search in the background based on the feedback following the first interviews and submitted three new candidates on 18 November 2016. Our client selected two of these candidates for interview.
On 7 December 2016, our client met four candidates face to face and were very happy with the results. They moved two people to final interviews with various team members / potential future peers and with the Global Head of HR for emerging markets.
We continued our search in the background again and submitted two additional candidates as backup options just in case the position was not filled with one of the two finalist candidates.
One of these two finalist candidates joined the Latin American leadership team meetings in mid-January and was then offered the position one week later.
We immediately contacted all remaining and backup candidates and provided clear feedback to close the loop with everyone involved.
